Hi, Greetings to you… I’m going to tell you something special, a good news, news about a great man in this world. The "Great Man" theory of history is usually attributed to the Scottish philosopher Thomas Carlyle, who wrote that "the history of the world is but the biography of great men." He believed that it is the few, the powerful and the famous who shape our collective destiny as a species.
Every year TIME magazine honors a person who has achieved something great in that year by conferring the title “Time’s Person of the year”. In that series this year it reveals a super hero as Person of this year. Do you want to know who that is? It is you… It gives many a reason for that… TIME placed a mirror in the cover page of that magazine. The idea behind it is that it will reflect you in that cover page and show you as the “Person of the year”. Yes, that news is very true; not a single person but the entire community contributes many a great thing to this world this year.
But there is another news that is greater than this news published by the TIME magazine, that which is already published in a Book. That Book describes you as the “Person of the Universe”. This title is not just for a particular year but for your entire life time. That Book also has a mirror in it. Whenever you open that Book it reflects you and shows you as the “Person of the Universe”. That great Book is the Holy Bible. Yes, God created this world for the benefit of mankind. He gave dominion over the universe to Man and gave him power and authority to rule over the world. Gen 1:26-28.
Jesus told His disciples “I have been given all authority in heaven and earth...” Have you ever wondered about this statement? He is the son of God; He already has all the power; then why did he say that? He made that statement as son of man, not as son of God. By making that statement, He emphasized the authority which mankind already has. 2000 years ago He paid the price for all this; for the well being of mankind. That is the good news this Christmas brings to you. YOU are the “Person of this Universe”. Always keep that in your mind, then you will have all success, in each and every aspect of your life; in all the works of your hands.
